I agree a simple habit with lots of benefits! I walk everyday with our little dog Alfie, I love it! I like to mix up the environments, the forest, beach, hills etc. Each gives me something different! It’s so important to stay active in mid life and beyond! Great for our health & wellbeing! 👍
So true Tracey! And walking with your dog definitely makes you slow down and take your time as they sniff everything (or was that just my beagle Rosie?? haha)
Thanks for the reminder. I used to walk several times a week for many years when I lived in DC, walking on the National Mall and at the National Arboretum. And when I moved here I did a two-mile roundtrip at a local beach. Then my life got complicated and I stopped for several years. Now I'm doing my best to get back into the habit "one step at a time." I also have my minitrampoline which I'm also trying to do consistently. I "jog" on it to build up my step count. With a last name of Walker, I should be a piece of cake to get back into the groove.
I totally feel you on this. I used to walk a lot more when I lived in California, with so many different places to walk around (beaches, parks, hills, etc...) I've noticed I have to push myself more to walk now that I live in Arizona. And especially during the summer when it's 115 degrees for 2 months in a row 🤭 I love your sentiment though "one step at a time". I am going to make a sticky note with that reminder for myself! Thanks for reading my story - I so appreciate you! 💚✨🤗
I enjoy your stories. And while I haven’t gotten up the nerve to try one of your recipes, I’m learning a lot about veganism. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Walking is such an underrated game-changer! Love this reminder that something as simple as putting one foot in front of the other can have such a big impact on health, mood, and energy.

Beagles definitely enjoy sniffing! Alfie is a miniature schnauzer and is very social so loves his walks! Its a win win for us :)
Aww that is so sweet! I bet he is a cutie too 😍
It’s good and has lots of benefits, my mom does that years back, keep it up 🥰

Thank you so much! Nothing beats a nice walk (before the weather gets too hot here in Arizona haha)
